Failed Back Surgery

Failed back surgery is due to unsuccessful back or spinal surgery where continued pain is present post operation despite a technically good operation. The pain from failed back surgery can either be at the site where the surgery had taken place or over a new area where pain was previously not present or nerve pain radiating down the leg. 

Failed Back Surgery (FBSS) is not a disease

Symptoms:

  1. Inability to recover post op
  2. Radiating pain from the back into the legs
  3. Restricted mobility
  4. Shooting pain in the back and lower back
  5. Muscular spasms in the back
  6. Pain located in a new level in the back
  7. Depression, sleeplessness, restlessness
