Failed Back Surgery
Failed back surgery is due to unsuccessful back or spinal surgery where continued pain is present post operation despite a technically good operation. The pain from failed back surgery can either be at the site where the surgery had taken place or over a new area where pain was previously not present or nerve pain radiating down the leg.
Failed Back Surgery (FBSS) is not a disease
Symptoms:
- Inability to recover post op
- Radiating pain from the back into the legs
- Restricted mobility
- Shooting pain in the back and lower back
- Muscular spasms in the back
- Pain located in a new level in the back
- Depression, sleeplessness, restlessness
